Bye Time is a concept album examining the paradoxes surrounding time. Today we are enslaved by the construct of time, its limits, and its use. We go to great lengths to hoard time, and then we turn around and waste it. We work double-time so we may relax and sleep as a reward. We live in fear of wasting time, yet we have so little quality time, all the while watching the clock.

By symbolizing these incongruities, the album attempts to lead the listener to realize that time is not our master, rather we control our perception of time. Furthermore, Bye Time aims to illuminate the fact that time is both subjective, unfixed, and ultimately an illusion.

Starting over Here and now love shares us all The past is behind us And the futures really nothing at all Ideas arise and crowd me; but they won’t hold me down My body is a cage around me; but that won’t hold me down Great enigma, give it all up and you can have it all Great enigma, gave it all up and now we have it all Ideas arise, they collide and pairs interlock, making stable combinations Until the mysteries are all dispelled, but our sense of wonderment is not Our great journey starts this moment in time One makes up the combinations; the other makes the choice it takes two to invent anything Abrupt cross-cuts and transitions; from one idea to another, Good ideas result from many ideas

Disaster 04:37
I am not a machine Look at my feet Look in my eyes And see my soul And the troubled past behind me And the lessons it learned me If I could travel back in time If I could stop a natural disaster If I could master just one thing tonight it would be you Through the rubble of the quake Through the water of the hurricane If we can get through these disasters We can get through anything; we can get through anything We can get through anything, at all I am not a machine Look at my face Look in my mind And see my whole And the spirit trapped inside me More than neurons define me If I could travel back in time If I could stop a natural disaster If I could master just one thing tonight it would be you Through the rubble of the quake Through the water of the hurricane If we can get through these disasters We can get through anything; we can get through anything We can get through anything At all

You feel connected By the wires and the satellites Although you know that it isn’t right It is our future When we were younger We use to play outside And now we play the price is right With our eyes glued to the tube Remember your younger days When your dreams were so much bigger Your eyes were so bright And you were so much more alive We feel protected By the laws and the civil rights Always waiting on a green light Like it’s our capture When we were drifters We used to be alive Now we move without a fight with our minds avoiding the truth Remember those younger days; your dreams were so much bigger Your eyes were so bright and you were so much more alive

How do we know that this is real? Is this my imagination? I’m losing my senses I forgot how to feel Show me a sign Show me a sign Show me a sign That your still alive Why do I believe that I am real? If this is all my creation I can master my senses I can escape from the wheel

We’re raised by machines; We’re paid by machines They suck the life out of me; They suck the life out of me I’m like a ghost in a shell; I’m like a ghost in a shell They suck the life out of me; They suck the life out of me I quit my day job!

Let me dance for you Let me dance with you Let me dance so I can show you what I’m really made of Let me dance for you Let me dance with you Let me dance so I can show you what I can do

We’re gonna be fine We’re gonna be fine Got no need to worry Seen it all before Everything happens for a reason Got to keep on pushing through Yeah, it’s all good It’s gonna be just fine Music can cure me Ease my worried mind Yeah, it’s all good It’s gonna be just fine No need to worry Not this time

Tom 04:06
You watch a video; it knocks your socks off You search the Internet; to find your relatives If we were lucky, we’d know our neighbor named Tom If we were lucky, he would disconnect from the program You need the internet to get your rocks off Your potential is infinite So why are you so competitive If we were lucky, we’d know our neighbor named Tom If we were lucky, he’d tell us to quit with the flimflam Go to your bed!
